Koh Yao, Tak Bai: Thailand’s Eastern Gem at the Edge of the Gulf

Once a battlefield, Phu Hin Rong Kla was a site of conflict between the Thai government and Communist sympathizers. This was a war with no true winners—only loss, tears, and lives sacrificed. Eventually, both sides reached a truce, and the mountain transformed into what we now know as Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park.

A National Park Rich in Diversity

Phu Hin Rong Kla is one of Thailand's most diverse national parks, brimming with natural wonders. Its lush forest is home to a variety of flora, while its unique geological formations have become a treasure trove for geology enthusiasts. The park serves as a vital watershed, with streams converging to form larger rivers. This ecological richness has made it a key conservation area and a popular tourist destination.
